Sylgja is the full package every descerning or ambitious upcoming rider is looking for: She has excellent gaits, tons of experience on track & trail, lots of training, an incredible work ethic & a polite, calm personality. She is willing but forgiving & always dependable. She is solid everywhere. She enjoys attention but is not pushy. She has a lot to teach.

Her tolt is clear with a wide speed range & a skilled rider can easily ride it with loose reins. Her trot is clean & big. Her canter is uphill & balanced. Her movements are big & her gaits are powerful, so she is best suited for a rider with okay balance & seat. She has extensive show experience but is just as comfortable & dependable out on the trails. She has taught adults, kids & is a great horse for lunge lessons.

Sylgja would do great with any intermediate rider who enjoys trail rides as much as an occasional show. She would also be ideal for a young rider who is looking for a solid horse to grow more experienced with.

Sylgja is a first prize mare. She was evaluated in Iceland where she received 8.5 for tolt, trot & walk, 9 for canter/gallop, spirit & general impression.​
